What if YOU could FIND WAYS to achieve OPTIMUM HEALTH 24/7?


Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

I know that I am.

I’m just like you in many respects. I’m just an average person, married with two small, beautiful children. Children shake up your life a bit don’t they? You focus changes, your concerns increase and you find yourself worried about all sorts of things all the time. That’s before you even start to worry about their HEALTH!!

Mothers are generally the nurturers. I say generally because I have seen some Fathers out there who would give the Moms a run for their money but on the whole Mom is who you want when you are sick, down or just plain miserable. I know I’m like that.

There is no greater concern for a Mother than the well being of her children. It does not matter if your children are 6 months or 46 years, Moms just worry! And so we should. There are just so many things out there that we have to face and deal with on a daily basis. It never ends!

Why is Health so important and why are we all so focused on it? I can almost hear you say, “Well, it’s obvious, we love them, care about them and just absolutely HATE IT when they are not well! We feel so useless and beat up (mentally and emotionally) on ourselves when we cannot help them!”

Well the Health of our children and loved ones is important but what about our health? We never focus on that do we? Not until we drop from sheer exhaustion and literally can not put one foot in front of the other anymore! We tell ourselves that we being selfish if we focus on ourselves. That the time we spend on ourselves could be spent better focused on our family. We just keep going.

What if I told you that by doing what we feel to be rather a selfless act is quite selfish. When you are feeling down, sick, depressed or your health is just not what it should be then you are not giving your family the BEST of you. Are you? I think we can all safely agree that we only want to give the best to our families. They deserve it.

I’m not suggesting that we all become these story book “Super Moms/Dads”, that’s just putting unrealistic pressure on ourselves that is doomed for failure and will make us feel inadequate in our roles. We all have had bad days and we will keep having bad days, we human, but sometimes we can avoid those bad days if we just focus a little more on the basics. OUR HEALTH!!

Think about it, when you feel good and are having a great day the whole family is positively affected by that, but if you are not then they are negatively affected by that too.

Health issues vary and to a large degree they affect our psyche. Let’s take ACNE for example. It’s not a disease, you are not physically unhealthy but your psyche takes a KNOCK because you don’t feel good about yourself. You hate the way you look, going out in public is always an effort and you just KNOW that when people look at you they are just staring at all those pimples and you tell yourself that that is ALL they see.

If you a teenager that’s one thing and bad enough because you are having to deal with all those crazy hormones on top of it, but what if you are an ADULT and suffer from it? It’s a nightmare isn’t it? For some reason you feel that you have done something horribly wrong to have been dealt this “curse”. I know because I’ve been there. I have cried many a night over it.

What if you are over weight and no matter what you try you can just not shed that weight. You frustrated, you embarrassed to go out in public, you particularly hate eating in public because you just convinced people are thinking, “Eat a little less of that and you won’t look like that” What if it’s hormonal due to a Thyroid Gland or Menopause? In those cases you don’t have much control over it, do you? It’s heart breaking and let’s face it, people can be MEAN!

Chances are you have jumped from diet to diet and have got’n no where, feel more depressed and just don’t know what more to do so you have decided to just “live with it” all the while feeling worse and worse about yourself everyday.

Perhaps it is Menopause and you not only trying to deal with the weight gain but you have to deal with the HOT FLUSHES and perhaps the nausea too. Then of course you feel old, look in the mirror and just cringe while telling yourself that YOUR TREAT would be to have Botox or Surgery. Ouch. Both to the pain and the cost.

Maybe you or a member of your family smoke and you JUST KNOW that you have to quit but you don’t know how. Kind of like dieting isn’t it? You have tried so many ways and none of them seem to work. Frustrating isn’t it?

So we see that as Moms (yes I know we can’t forget about the Dads, so you are obviously included) we have SO MUCH on our plates. This is just the tip of the ice berg isn’t it? Well my love and concern for my loved ones (my children, husband, my Mom, extended family and yes close friends) has made me want to know more about what is out there and how it can make our lives better.

I am no Doctor and I am not here to substitute any Doctor’s advice but I am on a journey to discover how I can achieve being healthy (mentally and emotionally as well as physically). Not just MY HEALTH but the health of my children and loved ones.
